Do I remember reading that if you get health insurance once in the visa process that you are stuck with it and can’t get rid of it?

I am here on 60 day bisa exempt. I want to get a non-O immigrant visa and end up with a retirement visa. First I need to get a bank account and one bank is saying they will give it to me if I buy a ฿5000 health insurance policy. If I get that policy, is it going to cause a problem for me down the road? (I do NOT want Non-OA)

Any word on what happens after the 5 years on DTV? So far it appears it’s renewable again. But what if that changes and you’ve built your life in Thailand kinda thing?

Some help on UK Thai E-Visa please.

Applying for non o immigrant based on visiting family (Thai Wife) with intentions of changing to Married visa once in Thailand.

On-line E-Visa Application asks for "Intended arrival date" and "Intended departure date" does this have to be less than the 90 days the non o Visa is valid for, and does my return flight need to be within 90 days. TIA

To my fellow Americans that married their Thai wives in Thailand. I have to ask this dumb question. Have you ever submitted the following visas below? What is the difference between the two?

- Immigrant visa for a Spouse of a U.S. Citizen

- Nonimmigrant visa for spouse (K-3)

Long term plan is to retire in Thailand. For now, outside her visa to states which I believe it allows 6 months stay at a time. I wanted something more concrete if I decide to go back and work there.

It says the visa has to be issued here in Thailand since we got married here. I'm open for feedback or suggestions.

My wife and I have each been granted Non O immigrant visa's for 90 days based on retirement criteria.

Bank statements showing funds in UK banks were presented.

We arrive in the Kingdom on 17/10 and intend to live on Koh Samui.

What do we need to do on arrival, and how quickly, in order to ensure that we can get these extended to a year?

Can someone confirm this for me? I understand that with a multi-entry permit in my passport, I can come and go from Thailand at wll AND that my 90 report time restarts each time i return to Thailand? (I have a non-O immigrant visa based on retirement - the one year extension). Thanks!

Subject:

Non-O Immigrant Visa Based on Marriage to Thai National

Me:

US Citizen, arrived to Thailand in August 2021 with 60-day tourist visa, have been staying with Covid-extensions. Married in Dec 2021. Currently living in Bangkok. Current extension valid till March 4 2022.

Goal:

Looking to change tourist visa to 90 day non-o immigrant visa based on marriage while in Thailand.

Question: What documents/requirements do I need, how much will it cost and which office should I go apply?

Thanks in advance!

I've read through some recent posts, and I just want to confirm I have this correct.

Presuming I have a multiple-entry non-o immigrant visa based on marriage, I CANNOT get a residency certificate from Chaeng Wattana because I am not doing 90-day reports with this visa. Therefore, I must go to my embassy to get this document.

Is this true?
