For health insurance is it better to go through an agent or straight to the company? My real estate agent that found my condo here in Bangkok also does health insurance so I was thinking about using her, but after reading some posts here it seems like that might not be a good idea?

What company do you have and are you happy with them? I'm thinking about going to the AIA office in Bang Rak for a quote.

Thanks!

This falls under the category of more, Thailand health insurance.

So, Pacific Cross is my insurance that I use here in Thailand. Had them for two years now and my policy is coming up for renewal next month.

Even though I've never had a claim in two years since joining them, and I get the discount yearly for no claims, the policy just keeps going up every year and it boggles my mind.

And now PC wants me to submit some BS prostate test and cataract's test of which I'm totally healthy for both. I'm in super great shape, I don't drink or smoke, workout everyday.

I need to look for another insurance provider that comparable to PC

if anyone here knows how I can get a cheaper policy or is an insurance broker here are my stats without giving way too much intimate detail you can just DM me

Current: UK citizens (all of us)

Me: 57yrs old

My partner: 38yrs old

Two male children: 6yrs old, 13 years old

I don't need vision, or dental, or pregnancy. and I'm willing to pay a small deductible of 10,000 Baht.

I just want inpatient covered for everything catastrophic or the main stuff etc etc etc.

The only reason I got the darn insurance in the first place wasn't for me it was for my partner and my kids, just in case anything happened if it was just me, then I'd get a super small policy that's peanuts and be done with it.

Need some recommendations from brokers with the information I gave you, not willing to give anymore information, I would just like to get a basic quote and if I like it then we can dig into the specifics, but based on what I wrote I should be able to get a ball park quote without being bombared with phone calls or emails, lol

Thanks for your recommendations

Hi Everyone! 🙌

For those of you on a DTV visa in Thailand, which health insurance policy are you using? Did you purchase it locally in Thailand, or did you bring coverage from your home country?

I’m just trying to figure out the best option !! any advice or personal experience would be super helpful kha.

Looking for a recommendation for a local insurance company and travel insurance (baggage delay, loss, etc) that covers DTV holders. My current insurance starts and ends in my home country which I don’t actually reside in so not applicable - any help is appreciated!

Hello everyone :) I got my DTV approved and I'm looking for a health insurance plan before arriving. Does anyone have any recommendations? I see things way too cheap to be true or way too expensive haha, thank you in advance and have a nice day.

Travel Insurance: I'm looking for the best travel insurance for medical reimbursement in the event of emergency. I don't care about reimbursemet for all that other junk they throw in or even for trip cancellation, just the best medical reimbursement. One name keeps coming up: Faye. From what I can tell they are primary payor, so they pay first and pay directly to the Bangkok hospital of your choice. (Many other insurers YOU have to pay then they reimburse you whenever they get around to it). What I've done is entered my information and set the trip cancellation amount to as low as allowed ($1000) to get the lowest premium, and that gets me $250KUSD medical insurance. I was just wondering if anyone has bought Faye in the past or actuallly had to use them and what the experience was like. Thanks everyone. BTW lots of people say travel insurance is a waste and I used to be one of them until I ended up in Phyathai2 for 10 days from acute respiratory arrest. Try talking yourself out of that one with no insurance and enough cash for about 1/10 of the bill.
