TLDR : Answer Summary
A variety of companies in Thailand are mentioned as reliable options for personal insurance policies for expats aged 54 and 60. AIA and AXA are frequently recommended for their good service and claim reliability. Other suggestions include Pacific Cross and various brokers who can provide multiple quotes and personalized assistance. It's important to consider future premium costs and inquire about coverage specifics tailored to visa requirements. Potential users are advised to carefully review policy terms and compare offerings from different insurers.

Some well-known insurers people often compare include Allianz, AIA, and AXA.

Each has different structures and pricing at that age, so it’s worth comparing the policy wording carefully.

Just to be transparent, I do work with Allianz, but I’d always suggest looking at options side by side.

My family is with AIA. Very good company, reasonable prices and no problem with paying out claims.

Don‘t forget to ask the most important questions: how much will be the price when I am 75 -80 - 85 years old!

Hans-Georg Bufe So if you're 54 how on earth do you think any company can tell you what your premium will be when you're 85? If I'm still paying premiums in 20 years when I'm 85 I'll be happy!

Ron Duke sure the health insurance company must be in the position to give you quite good indication on price inflation over the years. They have customers in those age groups and they know quite well what to pay based on todays economic situation. On the other hand you don‘t want to know these prices, because you are getting a heart attack when you know.

Ant W Tailor Your insurance seems very good to me. I'm also 58 years old; is outpatient hospitalization, or a minor emergency, covered as well?

You’re asking the WRONG question!

You should be asking which insurance company will pay your claim!
