Help please with a few questions on the lousy STV Visa.

1. How early can I seek a 90-day renewal?

2. If I renew early, will I cheat myself out of the full 90 day period?

3. Are there any offices around Bangkok or Kanchanaburi that were easy to renew/work-with?

TIA

Hi guys.

TM30 Question.

I arrive Wednesday 15 Jan. 6.pm.

I stay one night at daughters condo in Bkk.

Next day I take a taxi to my wife's house - to drop off bags - in a place called

Tha Maka. Kanchanaburi province.

40 kms before Kanchanaburi City.

Then carry on in taxi to Kanchanaburi immigration office to report.

Can't report online ( don't have username yet )

Can I report in Bkk ? ( I think not because I won't be living in Bkk )

Can I report at Tha Maka police station.

( I tried to report at the latter 2 years ago only to be told - Don't worry, only for muslims ) ( maybe they have learnt more now ??? )

Thanks.

Hi, I picked up my new passport yesterday and went to Kanchanaburi immigration to ask them to move my current Non O visa into my new passport. They told me I've got to got to Chonburi where the visa was issued. The visa is expiring next week so I want to try to get around a visit to Chonburi. I've heard that you can take both passports to the airport and the immigration will be OK by using your visa from your old passport. Is this true? Thank you.

Update for those using Kanchanaburi IO and TM30 requirements:

I returned from abroad on the 10th and on the 11th reported to the IO in Kanchanaburi. Luckily I had my landlord with me, as they asked for him, but just looked at him and his ID - I already had his signature on the form. Quickly got a new TM30 slip, which surprised me as I had heard from another poster that they were fining for in country stays outwith the province, not just when returning from overseas. Having been to Hu Hin in April for a week I suspected their system would throw that up and fine me, but nothing happened even though the IO accessed the computer before giving me the new slip.

All good, I didn't raise any issue so went to the second office for a new 90 day slip. On receipt I asked the IO if a TM30 was required for returning home from another province and she said yes, the hotel will log your stays so we need to know when you return. I asked her, given that I have a 320Km round trip home to office if I could go to Sangkhlaburi office which is only an hour away. The answer was no, but she suggested I sign up for the online TM30 system set up for hotels and landlords. Again this is contrary to another poster, who was told they couldn't use it. However I am planning to register and give it a go.

My plan is therefore to go in person if returning from abroad with anew TM6, and to use the online system if coming back from a different province after a holiday.

Confused? I am.

I was told by the Kanchanaburi immigration office that I need a picture of my wife and I in the bathroom (as well as kitchen, front of house, sitting on our bed, etc.) for my annual extension of visa based on marriage. Does that seem right? Is there an explicit list of photo places in the house that needs to be submitted with my extension? Seems strange to request a photo of my wife and I standing in front of our toilet. Thanks.

Did my 90-days report today in Kanchanaburi immigration, not busy, so quickly done. I asked them about the online system, since i'm trying to file it online and always return to the start screen after a pop-up says i have to contact my local immigration office. One of the officers said that, if for example your 90-days report should be done on the 15th, you have to do the online report between the 1st and 8th of that month, so, in the first 7 days prior to your 90-days date. Is this correct, i asked them because i was thinking it not worked because of google chrome

Hi, a few general questions. My current 1 year extension of my non-imm O based on retirement and Multi re-entry permit is due to finish on 28 Nov 2018. This is my first annual renewal. Immigration (Kanchanaburi) told me I can apply 30 days before, so I will go along around the end of this month (October).

My question is, when I submit everything is the new extension granted that day or is there a consideration period? If it is approved that day is my next annual expiry 28 November 2019 or do I lose any time by going early? Does the same apply to the new re-entry application? Basically I am going early incase the requirements have changed and they ask for something I don't have. Thanks.
