What are the COVID visa rules for overstaying in Thailand due to a job change?

Hello, anyone know the covid visa rules ?

My bf's visa got cut for 2 days by mistake (he was going to change the job and the karnchanaburi immigration stamped cancle the visa same date as the cancellation of WP (19th july), even we have a letter from the company mentioning that his visa should be cut on the date 8th next month)

So basicly he is overstay 2 days without any preparation. We didnt plan to leave thailand just want to change the job!

Bangkok immigration told us to apply for 60 days covid visa, pay the fee and tranfer the visa to non b again.

Is this possible, anyone have any information about this? I couldnt find and info of the covid visa on immigration site.

Thank you so much we are really in a bad situation.

Some offices cancel the extension effective the date you cancel your work permit no matter what is written on the termination paperwork BUT some don't.

Definitely GO to the immigration office at Chaengwattana and apply for a 60 day covid extension ASAP so you're not on overstay too long.

Where are you located at now? Are you in Kanchanburi, or Bangkok?

Thank you everyone, i just drove to karnchanaburi to get the quickest 60 days visa as we dont want to pay overstay fee (which actually isnt our fault). Just hope we can transfer this to nonb again.

If you don't mind me asking, was there any traffic stops or other restrictions?

CHECK the passport, and see if you have an "Under Consideration" stamp. If you do, you have to return to Kanchanburi and close it out there.

I recommend simply requesting a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 so he can get off of the overstay.

Going from a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 to a one year extension of stay based on employment will be between him and the employer.

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. [MAY NOT ALWAYS BE REQUESTED] A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and ant to use their special forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

The fine is 500 THB a day for being on overstay.

If you are applying for Covid extension from a Non-immigrant type of visa/extension in Bangkok, you may more likely be asked for TM30.
