Trip on Tuesday to Kanchanaburi IO resulted in a new one year extension based on retirement, out and in in 25 minutes. It's never busy at the best of times but the office was empty.
The only difference from last year was, 2 of the 4 declaration forms had been changed to apply to Kanchanaburi office, and the generic ones I downloaded were no longer accepted. 2 minute delay to fill in the new ones.
I did get a laugh and a disbelieving look when I asked for more copies for next years application :)
No commenting needed, thanks for the year-round help this group provides.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shares their positive experience of obtaining a one-year extension based on retirement at the Kanchanaburi Immigration Office, noting it took only 25 minutes. They mention a change in required declaration forms compared to last year, where only specific forms for the Kanchanaburi office are now accepted. The office was notably empty during their visit, and they humorously commented on needing more copies for next year's application.
