Hi guys.

TM30 Question.

I arrive Wednesday 15 Jan. 6.pm.

I stay one night at daughters condo in Bkk.

Next day I take a taxi to my wife's house - to drop off bags - in a place called

Tha Maka. Kanchanaburi province.

40 kms before Kanchanaburi City.

Then carry on in taxi to Kanchanaburi immigration office to report.

Can't report online ( don't have username yet )

Can I report in Bkk ? ( I think not because I won't be living in Bkk )

Can I report at Tha Maka police station.

( I tried to report at the latter 2 years ago only to be told - Don't worry, only for muslims ) ( maybe they have learnt more now ??? )

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about TM30 reporting, specifically whether they could report at the Tha Maka police station or needed to go to the Kanchanaburi immigration office. Multiple comments confirmed that the user must report at the Kanchanaburi immigration office due to residency requirements, emphasizing the importance of being accompanied by the wife and bringing necessary documents. Users also noted that while the 24-hour reporting rule is strict, the immigration office is relatively flexible about the exact timing.

If your wife is also your landlord all good but in the past they have insisted on the landlord being present.

I filed yet another tm30 last week at Kanchanaburi. Advice as above correct re paperwork. They are quite relaxed about the 24 hour deadline but not so relaxed about filing, they require it for trips outside Kanchanaburi province. Even if you don’t make it before they close I think you’d be fine next morning. Note tm30 is not done in main office but in a small building down past the main entry on the left hand side.

And thanks

.

I kind of knew the outcome of my questions but decided to fish for any new info.

Wasn't worried about daughter's condo and will be in Kanchanaburi before 3pm ( I hope )

The muslim bit was about how little the local guy's knew of this procedure.

Anyway. Thanks again.

Cheers.

You need to APPLY to use the online system (AND applying to be able to use the system is NOT actually filing a TM30). Then they send you a user name and temp password.

Just go to the immigration office where you're going to be staying and file a TM30 in person. AND ask them if you have to re-file for in country travel or just from returning from abroad.

I applied for this in October, still waiting. I own my condo, not sure if that matters but didn’t help either.

you can set up the online registration when you are back at home, on a PC (which i recommend) or on the mobile phone. Ask your wife to sit with you, open the registration process page and follow step by step. After completing and submitting the data, you can expect a reply and login data within hours/days after submission, and will be asked to change your password, again. At some points the registration process is a bit tricky, you will need to be able to read Thai, that's why I suggested have your wife sit at the screen with you. The next page is the link to the registration page. note it says it is for hotel and guesthouse, however it is also good for private people

you do not report in Bangkok as you don't live there. If your wife's house is in the area served by the Kanchanaburi Immigration office, this is your place where you register the TM30. And all of the World's numerous confessions have to register within 24 hours of arrival in Thailand, not only Muslims . . .

if you make it to Immigration within the 24 hours of arrival in Thailand, the night at your daughter's condo does not count. As you have time until 6pm on January 16th for the registration at your wife's house before Immigration office closes. Just make sure you get her accompanying you, have all documents in row, which is wife's blue housebook, wife's ID, your passport and departure card, copies of each signed by wife, copies of picture page of your passport and visa stamp page of passport, signed by you. If in hurry, go have the copies made at immigration
