Hello everybody! I'm currently on a DTV visa, but I married recently and want to switch to a non-o marriage visa. Can somebody tell me if I need to cancel my DTV visa first, before I can apply for a non-o marriage visa? Or I can simply apply for the new visa and my old visa would be automatically cancelled?

Someone here mentioned that only the embassy/consulate who issued you the visa can cancel it. I got my DTV from Laos, Consulate. Do I need to visit Laos again to cancel my DTV visa?

I'll be applying for non-o visa from my home country and not Laos. So making a trip to Laos just to cancel my current DTV visa will be quite a hassle.

Is it normal to have to wait to get approval from non O Marriage visa extension the first time? How long do you have to wait?

Hello everyone and Happy New Year.

I’m applying for a Non-O Marriage visa for the first time (Laos / Vientiane) and I’d appreciate advice from people who have real experience.

I fully meet the 400,000 THB financial requirement, but I’m unsure how to correctly present the 3-month bank documentation in my situation.

The required funds are held in my Norwegian savings account under my name. This bank does not issue monthly statements for savings accounts, only an annual statement or an official letter confirming account ownership and current balance.

My Norwegian personal current account shows zero balance and no activity in recent months, simply because I haven’t been using it. Until now, I have been staying in Thailand on extensions, and this account hasn’t been practical for everyday use here.

I primarily pay myself from my business account directly to Wise, which I use as my main account for daily expenses, together with my wife’s Thai bank account, which is in her name.

I’m getting mixed information... some say Wise statements are accepted, others say they are not. I’m not asking about moving funds, only about how to properly document the last 3 months.

In this case, would you submit 3-month statements from the personal account even if they show only 0 balance and 0 transactions, or would you use Wise statements, or a combination of both? How is this usually handled in practice?

Thanks in advance for any insight.🙏

Can I travel inside Thailand while my non O marriage Visa is under consideration? This is our 7th consecutive one. Will I have to do a new TM30 since we always return to our same address.?

I entered Thailand with a non 0 Immigration marriage visa. I need an extension for at least 1 month.

Before I had an rented apartment so I needed a copy of the owners blue book and id from the owner and a lease contract.

If I stayed in a hotel wat do I need instead of those papers.

Hi, about to go get a NON-O Marriage in Vietnam. Since the payment of the visa is via debit/credit card, is it needed to show up at some point at a consulate/embassy within the country or it's now fully online process therefore can be done from anywhere?

As for the bank statement from an overseas bank how many months is required?

Thank you

Hi, I left my job in Bangkok and have moved to the south of Thailand.

My work permit has been cancelled and I’ve just received the cancellation paperwork from my boss, which I was told that I needed.

Do I need to return to changwhattana and get them to add the cancellation stamp to my passport or can I just go to the closest land boarder, exit and enter?

I’ll be going back to a Non-O marriage visa.

Many thanks 🙏🏼

Hello everybody 👋

I fly in and arrive back into Phuket Thailand to start my Non O Marriage visa on Thursday 25th September 2025.

I worked out December 23rd is 90 days after 25/09/25 if you include the arrival day.

My mother has been unwell in Sydney Australia and I want to visit her around late October 2025 getting a re-entry permit to do so.

I just wanted to make sure incase the dates change to visit my mother when do I have to do this visit before to be back in Thailand in time to apply for my Visa Extension in phuket?

Is it 30 days before December 23rd?

Or in some cases I read you can apply 45 days before depending where you are.

Is there anything else I am Missing?

Thanks in advance 🙏

Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate some advice regarding my marriage visa.

I renewed my Non-O Marriage Visa about a month ago, and immigration told me to come back on July 2nd to collect the stamp for the new year. Unfortunately, I missed the date and plan to go on July 7th (5 days late).

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Will there be a problem or a fine?

Do I need to restart the process, or will they just give me the stamp with a late fee?

Thanks so much in advance!
