I have a Belgian passport and live in Belgium. I have a trip planned to Thailand from January 25 to March 19, 2026. Given the stricter immigration regulations, I'm concerned about whether I'll be allowed in.

I was already in Thailand from February 19 to 25 december 2024.

From December 9, 2024to February 4, 2025.

From May 16 to July 11, 2025.

From September 12 to October 16, 2025.

I'm flying with Qatar Airways. I have a return ticket to Belgium, sufficient funds, and two hotel reservations for the first five weeks. I've never had overstays, visa extensions, or visa extensions.

What can I realistically expect?

During this trip, i want to go 4 days in cambodia with a rentry in Thailand by road

Some days After i want to go in laos by air and rentry 1 week After on Thailand by train to finish my trip.

Asking for a friend (seriously), he is Belgium passport holder and wants to come to Thailand end of this month. As far as I understand he can come in for 30 days under de visa exemption and extend that in Thailand for another 30 days? But getting in he needs to proof that he will be leaving Thailand before the end of his first 30 days? Is this really checked?

Thanks adding me!

Quick question on stays longer than 30 days as I'll be travelling to Koh Samui in July.

I have a Belgian passport so no need for a visa for a short stay.

But what if I want to stay longer than 30 days (max 60 days)? Can I get a visa through an agency on Samui or is it better to get the visa prior to arriving?

Any reco on an agency on Samui who could help?

Thanks for your help!

Hi, a post just to let you know how it turned out for me at the Thai embassy in Hanoi.

All the staff is very nice, I went there pretty early(maybe 9am). Nobody was there, I gave the tickets flight in/out from Thailand, financial proof ( from last month), the form and the 40dollars. I previously had a 3months visa in my Belgie passport, this time I gave the French one and the lady said nothing except that I have to comeback on Monday to get it back.

Have a nice day and thanks everyone for your help!
