Is it possible to arrive on a visa exemption (45 days)
and extend (30 days extra) at a Thai immigration office?
Do I need a negative PCR test before before boarding?
Do I need a covid covering travel insurance?
Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Belgian passport holder arriving in Thailand can enter on a visa exemption for 45 days, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office, as long as the arrival is by March 31st. Post April 1, only a 30-day visa exemption is granted. Currently, proof of vaccinations and possible medical insurance for COVID-19 may be required, especially if traveling to or returning from countries that require a negative PCR test.
Based on news media reports (though not "Official" yet), Thailand is expected (possibly beginning tomorrow), to reimpose some Covid-related restrictions: i. Proof of 2 Covid Vaccinations; and ii. Some kind of Covid-related Medical Insurance IF you will be returning to or traveling onwards to a country requiring a negative PCR Test. Details forthcoming, when new Policy/Rule Officially published in Royal Thai Govt. Gazette.
any idea if I need PCR test before arrival and a covid covering health insurance again? Some people on Facebook says it's mandatory again starting 9 january?
