What should I do if my 90-day O visa doesn't arrive before my flight to Thailand?

Hi everyone,

I applied for a 90 days O visa on January 23 at the Thai Embassy Belgium. I got a receipt the same day, 80 euros.

My flight will be February 20. If I don't get my visa what is the best way I can do? Explain to Immigration when I get there?

Thanks for your help or suggestions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the procedure if their 90-day O visa, applied for at the Thai Embassy in Belgium, does not arrive before their flight on February 20. Responses suggested various options: patience as visas typically arrive on time, that Belgian passport holders receive a 60-day visa exempt stamp upon arrival, and the need to leave Thailand and re-enter to activate the 90-day visa once approved. Users recommended contacting the embassy via call if the visa doesn't arrive and noted that while waiting for the visa, the user should also prepare for visa requirements upon re-entry into Thailand.

It's already been 3 weeks. Don't email them, it's already pretty late. CALL them. If the Embassy/Consulate is nearby, GO there.

Mario De Mey absolutely nothing as you will already be in Thailand so your visa will just run out unless you leave and use it to come back

With a Belgian passport you will get a 60 day visa exempt stamp when you arrive. If/when your visa is approved you will need to leave Thailand and re-enter to activate it and get the 90 day stamp.

Mario De Mey Yes, anywhere, either fly or by land. Don't forget you may need a visa to enter so factor that in when deciding.

Graham Seal You just got through telling her that she'd get in 60 days visa exempt and then have her late-arriving O for the next entry.
