From US the rule is quite strict and it is different from some Asian embassies. Washington and Los Angeles and New York and Chicago all ask for last three months of bank statements with final balance not less than 500k baht, about 16k USD, in your name only. They look for the money to be there for the full three months, not just a fresh deposit.

People who tried with only one or two months in US mostly got a request for more papers or a pause. Some got approved when they had strong proof of income and the final balance was big enough to cover the three months, but that is rare and depends on the officer. If you have a big new deposit they will ask where it came from, so it is safer to wait until you have three full months.
