Question for Australians who applied for Non O through Canberra. Do the accepted bank balance confirmation letter to show funds or must it be a official bank statement?
Answer summary
The consensus among Australians who have applied for the Non-O visa through Canberra is that an official bank statement is required to demonstrate the necessary funds for the visa application, rather than just a bank balance confirmation letter. One user mentioned that they were able to provide additional documentation showing funding sources, which helped in their approval despite having slightly more than the required amount.

Also have a bit more than the 800k. Mine was only slightly over & they requested pension statements. My pension fund hadn't been put in place at that time so they accepted a letter from me saying I had sold a property & would have funds to live on. Visa was approved.
