Is it true that when applying for DTV as a Brit you only need to have had the 500k+ THB in your account for 1 month? And also to confirm I MUST 100% apply from my home country now, not a border run etc?
Thanks
Answer summary
To apply for the DTV visa as a British citizen, it is confirmed that the funds must be in your account for at least 10 days prior to the application, not one month. You must apply from your home country and not through a border run. Additionally, you will need to provide three months of bank statements and a police clearance certificate for any dependants, including infants.

I emailed the Embassy in London about a few things, and their reply on September 10th included some information on this.
They said the funds need to be in the account for at least 10 days before the application, although they also require three months of bank statements.
A couple of other points they confirmed that may be helpful:
A spouse, applying as a dependant, needs to show the required funds in their own account. Having enough funds for multiple adults in the main applicant’s account is not accepted. Children under 16 is fine.
They also told me that my infant daughter needs an ACRO police certificate! I find this strange and have gone back to them for clarification.
As of Sept 1st it is three months at all embassies worldwide. Before Sept 1st that was true, but no one has completed the process since Sept 1st, so no reports yet, only reports from those applying before Sept 1st.
