Where is the nearest Thai

Embassy one can travel to right now or before the end of December 2021 to get a non-b visa for a teaching job ?

Note: the persons

are currently on tourist visa / covid extension and the local immigration office does not allow changing visa type at the office and requires that one get it from outside of Thailand only.

Please kindly advise. Thank you so much.

Hello friends!

Here’s the deal - I moved to Thailand in Jan 2020, but had to leave suddenly in late March due to my visa expiring and COVID shutting down nearby borders. I have an apartment in Thailand that I still pay for monthly.

Additionally, I’ve been working for a Thai school since May. It’s all been online, in hopes that I can come back around when school starts back up. I wasn’t able to get my work visa with them while I was in Thailand, but I do have a signed contract to work for them.

Does anyone know if I’m able to get in under the new rules? It doesn’t look like it but I’m hoping someone with more knowledge on the subject will chime in.

I am working with the school on how to get me back, but I thought I’d try this page as well.

Thanks!!

Update on the covid 19 under consideration stamp for chaeng wattahana immigration.

You are supposed to return to immigration with the underconsidertion stamp. You don't need any additional paperwork.

You will get whatever number of days are left to give you a 30day extension from the date you applied. For example I went today and my visa is now extended until the 26th April and so expires before the end of the amnesty. If this is the case then you are covered under the amnesty. I was told to check the immigration website in the days leading up the the 30th for updates on the amnesty and what will be happening.

Hope this helps people.

Good morning, I could really need some advice now.

Currently my situation is, I am a Malaysian with Malaysia passport and have a non-B visa without extension, admitted to stay until 2nd of May 2020 with Company A.

There's a Company B have agreed with company A to buy me over, which means I need to cancel my work permit(does not required to cancel non-B because it's not extension, correct?) and leave Thailand on last day of my working day with Company A and apply new work visa and work permit with Company B.

However, due to current Covid-19 situation in Thailand (ridiculous requirement to get in) and Malaysia(border close for Malaysia nasionality to get out from country until end of this month, might extend),

Is there anyway that I can stay in Thailand and get new non-B visa. I know I can convert from tourist visa to non-B visa. But how about non-B to tourist visa?

Appreciate for any advice. Thanks.
