TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of re-entering Thailand and receiving another 45-day entry stamp after currently holding a 60-day tourist visa obtained in Penang. Responses confirm that it's possible to receive the stamp, but caution that final decision rests with immigration officials. I think you can get unlimited 45 day stamps if traveling by air

2 is the max, if traveling by land.

Correct me if I’m wrong. I thought you had to be out of the country to apply for a tourist visa?

it took about a day and a half. Went to the embassy in the morning and it was ready the next afternoon. A lot of paperwork to prepare first. The guts at ravi sharma travel in penang helped with everything

You can try. Nobody, except the immigration officer, can say if you'll be allowed in.

Have you had any Covid extensions ever? Ever overstayed in LOS?

Were you ever on an education visa before??

Best to have the 3 proofs in any case:

hotel booking for a few days & onward travel reservation within the number of days you're allowed , & 20,000 thb or equivalent in $ £ € in CASH is needed.

If your re-entry is on/after April 1, people may only be allowed 30 days...

no she can't. As it stands now, the 45 day visa exemption will expire 31 March. As she indicates she has not yet extended 30 days, this will put her past Mar 31. She can certainly come back in, but as it stands, it would be for 30 days, not a 45 day stamp.

Education isn’t what it used to be.
