Is it necessary to return to Phuket for a second COVID extension in Thailand?

Hi everyone!

I entered Thailand with 30 days visa exemption, extended 30 days plus got 60 days COVID-extension in Phuket. My first covid stamp was approved immediately (not "under consideration") and now expiring. I would like to get the second one.

Now I’m in Bangkok. I went to IT Laksi immigration for another COVID extension. They told me that I should go to Phuket to get it.

Is going to the “office of the initial extension” the only option?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks clarification on whether they must return to Phuket for a second COVID extension after initially receiving their extensions there, as immigration officials in Bangkok directed them back to the original location due to registration issues.

This is the second report I know of now. Both initial extension issued at Phuket.

and did you or your land lord file a TM30 which shows you now stay IN bangkok?

If not that's the reason they said go back to where you came from to get it

you're not registered as living in bangkok and seeing as this isn't your first covid extension they're saying go back to where you got the other one

I handed it along with the other documents. But I’ll try again and pay attention to this form. Thank you!

if they deny you your only option would be to try another province or leave when your stamp is up

Thanks for your reply, Tod!

Yes, I am registered in Bangkok now. They didn’t have any questions about it.

show the TM30 receipt when you apply and you should be able to get the covid extension here in Bangkok
