I recently renewed my retirement visa a month before it was due. I made the mistake of assuming that my previous visa stamp and multi entry was valid until the expiry date. No so, the new one replaces the existing stamp.
As I didn't have a new re entry stamp I was nearly denied entry as the previous multi entry stamp was invalidated with the new visa stamp.
Fortunately after some discussion with a senior officer they allowed me to enter.
What is the situation if you have a 12 month 'non o' visa (retirement), have left Thailand on exit/re-entry and you are back in the UK and your passport expiry date is during the time back in the UK - are visas and exit/ reentry stamps transferred to a new passport? Are you able go keep old passport with visa and stamps in? I am unsufe of the process, any advice/experiences? ✍
I have a Non O extension and also a re-entry and will be flying into BKK next week.
I will show the officer my stamps, but as I have been seeing people here getting stamped in incorrectly, what should I be looking for when they stamp me in, (never used a re-entry before)
Will the stamp show the expiration date of my extension (23 August 2024) and will it have Non O stamped?
I came to Thailand in november, got the 45 day stamp on entry and extended for 30 days. Then i went to Penang and got a 60 day tourist visa which i am hoping to extend for 30 days. Am i able to leave Thailand and get another 45 day stamp when i re enter Thailand? Thanks in advance for your help.
I was coming back in on a re-entry stamp yesterday at Swampy and I must have really caught them on a good day as I got stamped in until 20th November....2020.
I don't know where the extra year came from but I'll take it. 😎
