I'm currently on STV and have done two 90 day extensions. My visa is due to expire on November 7. With the renewal of the STV program - does anyone know if it can be applied for a second time?

I'm Canadian so preferably without leaving to renew in my home country.

Thanks!

Hi everyone.

Is anyone aware of the process of cancelling a Non-B Working Visa to then go onto a Tourist Visa?

As far as I am aware, if you cancel the Non-B Visa, you would then go onto a Tourist Visa and at the moment, due to Covid, you would not be required to leave the country. So, you would be required to cancel visa and then pay the fee (1,900 baht) to go onto a Tourist Visa for 90 days? Is this correct?

If anybody has any knowledge i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks so much.

So my partner and I are looking to go to Thailand for an extended period of time. From what we have googled and advice we have gotten it seems to be conflicting and confusing with everything going on with Covid. Is there anyone who might be able to give me information or even help assist us?

Hi everyone,

I entered Thailand in June on a Visa exemption. The expiry date is coming up soon (August 2nd) and I'm just curious how the 30 day extension works? I've done it once before 2 years ago in Chonburi but am in Bangkok now and imagine that the process is different due to COVID, lockdown etc.

Can I just show up a few days before my exemption expires and get the extension? Or do I need to make an appointment before going? How close to the expiry date do you advise me to extend?

Also if someone could point me to the correct immigration office I need to go to in Bangkok that would be great! I know theres atleast 2 and you're supposed to go to a specific one for extensions.

Lastly, if someone could please let me know what documents I need to bring that would be amazing.

I know its a lot of questions but if someone could help me out would be great, don't want to mess it up! Thanks :)

Advice:

My passport is expiring 18 April 2021 and my embassy just got an issue with their system and will take 3 months to give me a new one, so that means for a covid visa extension they cannot stamp my passport longer than the expiration date in 3 weeks and I will be with no legal document here. My embassy offered me an emergency passport but I don't know if at immigration they take that as legal document (I came here and they said it dwpends on the answer of the government, so nothing clear)

For the moment I also see the option of going out and come back.

Anyone who sees a solution that I'm not seeing? Or the cheapest way to do any of these two?

Please would really appreciate your advice in this moment.

Hi, I know that immigration is granting UK and US citizens 30/60 days amnesty. Does anyone know if the same applies for South Africans?
