800k Baht question: I've just been told that you can have a combination of monthly Social Security income plus a deposit to reach the 800k Baht per year mark. Meaning, if your Social Security monthly is equivalent to 55k per month, which is 660k per year, then all you need to do is have 140k baht in the bank. Can anyone confirm this info?

Has any body got an answer or work around to the need to have an embassy letter for proof of income from gov pension, when the embassy has stopped issuing them. I want to use combination method of banked money and 12 months of pension of 40k+฿ so as to free up some of my 800k฿. The KK immigration still require this. Would a letter from Services Australia who oversee Centrelink, who pay the Government old age pension into my bank, be acceptable? TIA

Info for people who use Phetchabun Immigration. Spoke to Immigration officer today,(the officer who signs your extension of stay in passport) with ref to using the combination method for renewing Retirement Extension. They will only do, money in bank 800,000, or monthly income. Hope this info is useful to someone.

Could someone please advise. To cover the 65000 baht income requirement can you have a mixture of cash in the bank and income. For example 400000 in the bank and 32500 in income to comply. Many thanks.
