I am new here, so maybe something similar to my question is asked before...

I wanna get a DTV visa. From my work they wont allow to work abroad. I can get unpaid leave.

But i own 3 buildings which i rent out. Besides that i do some financial business (giving loans) on personal base, no company. Is this enough to get a DTV visa?

Appreciate your reactions

Me and my significant other aim to move to Thailand in a few months. We make music full time which makes around 7k a month gross, though we are considering doing a soft power (we don't officially run a registered business, very DIY). We have always shared funds from my account. Since we are self employed and share funds, what is the best course of action for obtaining a DTV for both of us?

We have the 500k baht each and make a good amount to our (my) main account, so not really a money issue - maybe just in the wrong places. Is there a monthly requirement for how much she should be making a month? What are the exact requirements for a soft power as far as income and documentation? Should we apply in the USA beforehand or try from Vietnam like many have suggested?

I'm mainly just looking for overall advice to our unique situation, and a general best course of action. Any advice is appreciated.

I don't make much from freelancing and I have two freelancing jobs. One is designing (which allows me to provide an online portfolio) and one is tutoring (which is where my limited income comes from, and my invoices relate to).

Will it likely complicate things too much if I present myself as having both of these freelancing jobs?

It's the only real way I can show income and also a portfolio

Hello, someone who have website and work with a platform (affiliate marketing) get the DTV visa ? I don’t have proper contract with the plateform (I only sign CGU) and I make around 2000$ with them every month.

Does travel vlogging count towards remote worker or freelancer status? I do meet the financial requirements, but I’m not actively making money off the vlogging

Will it have any problems if my salary is only 350€ net? I work part time.

Should I state in my cover letter that I have more savings and investments that I live of or does that unneccesarily complicate it?

I have more than the 500k THB in the bank account I will show them, its closer to 1.500k THB for some years already. Plus an stock broker account with 3.500k TBH in cash, but I wouldn't show that because it's not a bank account.

Should I provide them with documents like payslips, business registration of my employer, rental contract for thailand without them asking for it in the application? I read that many people are getting asked for those documents and I want to speed up the process as much as possible.

I will be applying in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Thank you in advance

Hey guys, has anyone gotten a DTV for workcation in a situation similar to mine? My situation is that I’m currently not earning a monthly income and haven’t had much income in the last three months. However, I have a strong portfolio showing what I do and sufficient funds in my country’s bank account.

Another question: what should I fill in for the place of issue? My passport is Japanese and was issued in Osaka, Japan. Should I write “Osaka, Japan” ?

With employment contract are they looking at the salary to be the main source of said minimum? Asking because I have an official employment contract that is not full time and I also have private freelance contracts. I file taxes (USA) as a freelancer/my own business but also include this contract as an employee.

I’ve heard being employed by a company is a bit easier to file for DTV. However I have higher income from several sources being a private contractor.

What to do here?
