TLDR : Answer Summary
The information provided from a recent conversation with an immigration officer at Phetchabun Immigration states that for renewing a Retirement Extension, one must prove financial stability through either 800,000 THB in a bank account or a verified monthly income. Additional details shared in the comments clarify that for the combination method, the bank balance must show a minimum of 500,000 THB for the two months before and three months after the application. It's noted that the funds may fluctuate throughout the year but should not fall below half of the required amount during certain periods.

It would be nice if they had consistency in following their own regulations.

yes, that is the part of combined income with money in the bank. The money must be 2 months prior application date till 3 months after application date in the bank and the rest of the year not lower than half of the amount, this as the referral to point 4. F.E. monthly income showed by 12 months of foreign deposits of minimum 25.000 Thb each month, makes 300.000 Thb. 2 months before application date till 3 months after application date a minimum of 500.000 Thb in the bank and the rest of the year not lower than 250.000 Thb.

I should have mentioned I'm a holder of a British Passport. So no income letter. So for me, it's money in the bank & Income from a pension, using bank letters & statements. Tod, I showed the officer this doc below, is this what you were referring too.

someone needs to take the current thai version of the police order that specifically states you can use the combination method and give it to him.

Thanx for the update,
