Hallo everyone

I posted a while ago regarding my 12 day trip, advice i got is i dont have enough time to do everything so here we go again...

7-28 May (20) days in Thailand 2 days traveling via Cape-town to Bangkok

I need advice on the best affordable (R350/700) (687 /1375 bath) pn at hotels/rooms for 2 just need aircon maybe breakfast

Places to visit and things to do what was the best for u and how much did it cost?

We love to explore, outdoors and high adrenaline rushes, not huge drinkers

We would like to do some beach holiday but thinking 5 days max as we live like 1km away from the beach and dont go much anyway (not big on sand and wind)

We currently have R20000 (39303.94 bath) +- to take for food, drinks and excursions

Places and things id love to do

Free diving not snorkeling

Gocarts rasing

Land of Angels Chiang Mai

Dinner cruise in Bangkok

Koh sok national park or something very similar if cheaper

Magic mountain camp

Al whaba crater

Waterside resort Bangkok

Floating market

Mae kampong village Chiang Mai

Lamaya khao yai jungle restaurant

3 Monkey restaurant

Bunny's hut cafe in pathong

Great and grand ice cream Pattaya

Baan suan sathran bangkok

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on planning a 20-day trip to Thailand, covering activities, budget-friendly accommodation, and must-see places. They are particularly interested in outdoor and high-adrenaline activities and would like to spend a limited amount of time at the beach. Comments suggest that the planned itinerary might be overwhelming for the duration of the trip, with recommendations for focusing on specific locations and activities, especially in the south where conditions are better during their visit.

A good chunk of that 38k will be travel, and hotels. There may not be much left for food,beating out, attractions etc. check out the air fares on the dates you want to travel, and if too tight then reconsider the northern parts. Best of luck.

Hi everyone

I didn’t like the advice I got last time so I’m gonna try again 😂😂😂
Jeff ********
You're delusional. Pick one or two places and do what you can there. Save the rest for subsequent trips.
Edna *******
@Jeff *******
yes, and not factoring in jet lag.
David **********
You need months to do all that not 12 days.

Far too organised

@Mike ******
yes, a River cruise in Bangkok, takes planning and reservations. Plus takes up one whole evening, even with an escort from your hotel, transport included and guide. Sells out for top deck. I just enjoyed it on

I live in Koh Tao , come here!

The north of Thailand is under storms and heat now , the south region is ok.

is OK for 12 days for 2 people

Here's the best advice. Don't try to do it all at once. You will be back.
Nigel *********
Stick to the south. Go scuba diving. Surin islands is a must. Do less, enjoy more.

@Nigel ********
stay away from Chiangmai. I live here, it's burning season. Air quality rated 'worst in the world ' last week, this week aqi 2.5 200 to 400 ppm. and usually continues until July rain

As I text 2.5 is 246

Get a map and look at the distances you'll be travelling and how many days wasted doing this.

Try to find a travel orienteted group instead of this one, where the focus is primarily on visa.

.00 baht. But looking at the distances that you want to travel and from what I have seen, Bangkok, Krabi,Chang Mai and Phuket You will already be losing 5 travel days of your vacation. Chang Mai in the burning season is not the best place for a vacation.

Best to look for accomodation would be Agoda.com as we have used them often and have had very good vacations prior to moving to Thailand.
Michael ********
You might want to convert the rand to baht hardly anyone will know what it is.
