Hi to all of you!

As a canadian citizen how many months do I get if I apply for a tourist visa ?

It used to be 2 months plus the possibility of getting a 30 days extension.

Now, on their website it says 3 months for a single entry.

Do that 3 months included the extension or is it 3 months without the extension?

Thanks to you for your help.

My wife is Canadian, but has no green card / letter of employment in the USA. Can she apply for a 2 month tourist visa in the US with me, an American citizen?

This might be a newbie question, but is the STV required for a stay of less than 30 days? I am a Canadian citizen.

It seems like a simple question, but I have not been able to find a clear answer online.

In the past (pre-Covid) I used to go to Thailand and did not require a visa for stays shorter than 30 days. With the Covid rules, its no longer clear to me.

I do know about the ASQ and already have that booked for June. I am also in the process of applying for the COE (Cetification of Entry).

Canadians needing emergency visa extensions. Just got an email saying it is possible though perhaps for Canadians overseas on a "long term basis"...

VISA EXTENSION REQUESTS

... We recognize, however, that options for return to Canada are rapidly diminishing and that some Canadians are resident abroad on a long-term basis. In this context, the Embassy will, as of April 1, undertake to provide supporting letters for Canadians seeking visa extensions in Thailand. For all such requests, we would kindly ask that you contact the Embassy via email, at BNGKKConsular@international.gc.ca, and not to appear in person"

The Canadian thai embassy and Consulate are scaring my buddy witless by insisting that a Canadian arriving from cambodia at a land crossing into Thailand MAY, at the officers discretion, only get 15 days Visa Exemption. He will have 20,000 baht and proof of a flight out within 30 days and my wife at the border to meet him to assure the thai officer he will be staying with us and the requisite TM30 will be completed that day. Can Tod or Robert please assure him that he will be allowed in on a 30 day visa exemption . He has no previous exemptions and two previous tourist visas 3 and 4 years ago.

I'm applying for a new tourist visa. it will be the third one I have received from a thai embassy.

1. Canadian, sept 2017

2. Laos, March 2018

3. will be Canadian again

I also have 30 day extensions on those used visas, and 2 border runs done (I know I'm maxed on those for the year)

worried about my 3rd visa possibly getting denied as suspect for living in TH....? anyone have any good info for me? a friend told me 2 visas in my passport shouldn't be a big deal, but wanted to see what other people thought... I was hoping to apply for a ed or work visa AFTER I arrived rather than before...

oh, I'm also thinking that maybe a multiple entry visa might be a better option than the single entry that ive had in the past....?

thanks for your help :)
