I need advice about legal documentations! Please help!!!
I am 18 years old and is a Canadian citizen.
I am currently in Vietnam for the summer and would like to bring my 12 year old brother (also Canadian) and my grandparents (Vietnamese) to Bangkok Thailand for 5 days for tourism.
For my 12-year-old brother:
Are any parental permission documents required for him to travel with me?
If so, must the original signed permission letter be presented, or would a scanned/digital copy be sufficient?
Is a birth certificate or any additional documentation required for him as a minor?
Visa requirements:
Do Canadian citizens need a visa for a 5-day visit to Thailand?
What are the visa requirements (if any) for Vietnamese citizens traveling from Vietnam to Thailand for tourism?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian citizen traveling to Thailand with a 12-year-old brother will likely need a signed parental permission letter from both parents, and it's best to have the original. For traveling minors, confirmation from the airline about specific documentation is recommended. Both Canadian and Vietnamese citizens can visit Thailand for 60 days without a visa, but they must have return tickets, accommodation proof, and sufficient cash.
Canadians and Vietnamese can enter Thailand on visa-exempt for 60 days. All need to have return tickets, proof of accommodation, and TDAC submitted. Also, as a rule, one of you has 40K in cash for the whole family.
You may need an original consent letter from the parents of your brother. Both parents must sign.
You need to contact your airline for details about a minor's travel by international flights. Those details are out of the scope of this group.
