I am a Canadian citizen who received 60 days when I arrive at the airport. I would like to apply Non O for retirement and I live in Samut prakan. May I know where do I apply Non O. Do I have to apply at Cheng Wattana Office or Samut Prakan Immigration for Non O? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian citizen living in Samut Prakan who has received a 60-day entry stamp should apply for a 90-day Non-O visa at the Samut Prakan Immigration Office. It is necessary to have at least 15 days left on the current visa stamp to apply. Additionally, obtaining an affidavit of income from the Canadian embassy can be used as proof of income instead of the standard requirement of having 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account.

You would apply for that 90 day Non-O visa at the immigration office that serves the area where you live, SO if you're in Samut Prakan (which you would know by your address/zip code) you'd apply there.

You need a minimum of 15 days left on your current stamp to apply there.

As you are a canuck you can get the Canadian embassy here to issue an affidavit of income from abroad notary letter stating you get 65K baht a month from your country and use that for proof of income rather than banking the 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name only
