Hello. I have a Canadian passport and entered Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa on November 6, 2023. I then went to the Phuket immigration office and got a 30 day extension until February 3, 2024.

I was planning to leave Thailand in early February but got hurt and needed surgery and the hospital helped me to extend my visa. They took my passport and BKK immigration gave me a 60 day extension until March 26.

Is it possible to get another 30 day extension at Phuket immigration from a medical extension or do I need to do a border run and come back on visa exempt status?

Nope, the only extension you can get from a medical extension is another medical extension with documentation like you did on the one you got now until Mar 26th
