TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the temporary closure of the land border between Thailand and Cambodia, affecting those planning border runs for visa renewals. Users highlight the need to check border statuses before planning trips, with alternatives like Laos or Malaysia mentioned. Concerns are raised about longer travel times due to these restrictions.

Oh boy... I hope things are better in august, or I would need to drive 10hours+ instead of 3,5h 😅

IF you are considering doing a BORDER BOUNCE/Run into Cambodia...be sure to check if the land border is open...

This notice just posted Monday evening from the largest border run service company...

"ALL BORDERS BETWEEN THAILAND AND CAMBODIA ARE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE."

Been increasing conflict ongoing for a few weeks over land border dispute. The dispute is decades old but flares up every so often. This is the worst for a while though
