TLDR : Answer Summary
The border between Thailand and Cambodia is currently closed for land crossings, making it impossible to do a border run to Cambodia from Pattaya. Expats are advised to consider other options, such as traveling to Laos or taking a flight to a different country.

Even if Cambodia borders are still open, it is the dumbest thing to do now. Any Cambodia stamps on your passport will just increase the chances of you being pulled to the side, even with a DTV.

The Cambodia border has been closed for quite a long time at this point. So no, Cambodia is not okay. Laos, Myanmar, or fly out and back.

From Pattaya, that means your options are Laos (2 days in a van) or flying out and back
