Hi all just some info about what happened to a friend a few days ago, he found out that the 90 day reporting is NOT related to your VISA renewal at least for Retirement VISA, he tried to do the 90 day report and was rejected and requested to go immigration urgently, where he found out he was late with the 90 day by about 2 months and was fined 2k baht, but since hearing this story I have heard about another that was more late for his 90 day and they cancelled his VISA because of it and he had trouble getting a new one, so 90 day and VISA are not linked, they are separate....

Per Thai immigration I live in a unique timeline (yes I know what the Thai says but still, I may have a case for an eternal multi entry)

I live in Australia have a Thai wife and Thai home, I’m Australian 75yrs old, usually I get a one year retirement visa, but my last visit when leaving the local Thai immigration office, in Kamphaeng Phet I paid for a Re-Entry permit, this has now run out, was in my old Australian passport valid till 28Oct 2024

Going out soon on my new Australian passport.

My question is i intend to travel end of this month to Thailand returning back to Australia Mid-March 2025,

(Can l go out on the 90day visa exemption and get an another 30 day exemption?)

Which would cover my trip?.

Or go through the long process of getting a year retirement visa again,

I have all the correct criteria needed.

Any other solutions!

Thanks John

Do DTV visa holders need to get re entry permits before they leave the country every time, just like if you’re on an ED visa?

I am currently in Bangkok on a non-O visa. I am Canadian and can enter VISA free for 60 days. I don't intend to extend my non-O visa so I am not getting a re-entry permit on my way to Vietnam where I will apply for a a DTV e-visa.

Do I have to wait for the result of my application as I need to fly back to Bangkok the following day. If my VISA is approved on my way back I could technically check when I arrive in Bangkok but I have nowhere to print a copy to show to the IO. So my question is can I just enter Bangkok on 60-day VISA free and activate the DTV Visa the next time I re-enter Bangkok? Has anyone been on a similar situation?

No long lines straight through no hiccups.

Hi Guys, I currently have a retirement visa and due to the UK pension rules if I just stay in Thailand my state pension is frozen (I arrived 3 months ago! The question I would like to ask is if I go back to the UK for 6 months and wouldn't be able to do the 90 day reporting would I lose my visa? Which I would like to keep!

Many thanks, David

Just a quick question- my child is on non-ed visa for secondary school, I’m on a non-o guardian visa, spouse is on a non-o retirement visa obtained in Thailand (not an o-a or o-x); how long can I be outside of Thailand without putting my visa (non-o guardian) at risk?
