Hello, I am wondering if someone can answer my question please; if we lodge our 12 month extension on our Non-O in Bangkok, do we then have to do all of our reporting and subsequent extension processing in Bangkok?

This has been suggested to me but we are unsure of where we want to be and plan on being more nomadic (3 months here and then change) for the first year or so. Thank you.
Answer summary
You do not have to conduct all your reporting and extension processing in Bangkok if you lodge your 12-month extension there. After receiving your extension, you can report to the nearest immigration office based on your current residence and the TM30 form filed by your landlord. Each time you change your address, the landlord must file a new TM30 within 24 hours, allowing you to handle your immigration affairs at the local office corresponding to your current location.

If you need a re entry permit, some offices will suggest getting it done at the same place as where the last visa/or extension application was aprroved or the Airport. Reporting is done in the area that TM30 is completed

You report to the office that covers where you are living and you have to notify Immigration if you change address. I moved from Pattaya a couple of years ago just after renewing my extension, when I got to Khon Kaen I reported my new address required, from that point on all my interactions with immigration including reporting and renewals of my extension are now handled by the Khon Kaen office.

No problem to move around, simply report to your nearest immigration office with current TM30. I did just that before settling in Jomtien.

No. You do your reporting where you are required as living on a TM30 by your landlord. You'll need the receipt from them to take to immigration with you

You interact with immigration at the offices located in the district related to where your current TM30 lists your current location as. Everytime you move a new TM30 has to be filed within 24 hours by the landlord/owner, and you use the immigration offices in that locale.

Kool Breez Should I expect a physical copy of the TM30 to be given to me from each accommodation? Should I seek one out? Thank you.
