Just show immigration at the airport your old passport with Visa or Extension then go to an immigration office to get it transferred. I got a new passport and just showed the ‘retirement extension’ in old passport at airport. No problems.
Already done this. Show both passports but make sure multi or re entry in original. Not a problem. Then goto immigration and get visa stamps onto new passport. It was easy. For a change. 😂😂
I assume you are on some sort of long term visa or extension of stay? Unless it's a multiple entry visa you will need to get a re-entry permit before you leave Thailand to keep that stay alive. But then you can re-enter Thailand with both passports, although it's not difficult to renew a UK passport inside Thailand either.
