Hello everyone. I just arrived on a 60 day visa. My girlfriend and I are expecting a daughter in December. After which, we will file the paperwork for my parental rights. My question involves my visa. Right now my understanding is that I will file an extension that will take me to the end of November. After that I plan on doing border runs until my family member visa and parental rights paperwork can get done. Is this the best way to go about things? Thank you for any advice!

Does anyone have an updated list. First time I'm doing this. I know already some of the documents needed. Just hoping for a list to check through.

Hello everyone, I’m new here, Australian. I am not married however I have 2 Thai national children with my Thai partner of 10 years. Applied for a 1 year multi entry non immigrant o visa and was approved in Australia by the consulate. I don’t have a Thai bank however I will be opening one when I arrive. My question is you need to apply for an extension 45-30 days out but you also need 400k in a Thai bank for 2 months. Given it will take me a week or so to open an account and transfer funds I might be cutting it fine to have 2 months of history and be 30 days before my stamp expires. Would the best bet be to open the bank and deposit the 400k in the first week then exit and reenter Thailand on the multi entry and apply for an extension 45 days out from the end of my second entry? Thanks in advance all.

I have a german passport, staying in Chiang Mai for three years and am currently on a volunteer visa. I have a two years old daughter (mom is thai, not married) who is born in Chiang Mai, and I lived with since she was born. She doesn't have a german citizenship yet.

I am looking for visa options. I heard about a guardian visa but couldn't find reliable information about my case. Can anyone help me here?

Hi all. It seems a Non-Immigrant visa based on family is the right fit for the circumstances of myself and my son. My partner is Thai and I’m Aussie and our son was born in Australia (we have successfully obtained a Thai birth certificate for him) We would like to spend up to 6 months in Thailand and don’t have any real interest in visiting nearby countries, as we want to limit travel since we have an 18 month old with us. My question is, in order to be able to stay up to 6 months, will both my son and I need to apply for Non Im multiple entries or is there another way to do it that doesn’t require us to leave the country every 90 days? Thank you

My son had a twelve month visa extension issued at Jomtien, based on having a Thai child, which expired about six months ago.

He has taken advantage of three Covid extensions, but it seems now he will have to apply for a 'child visa extension' again.

Would you list the provisional documents required.

I believe there is no need for the ฿400K to be seasoned. Please confirm.

And when he gets an approval and returns after the month, will the immigration check to see that these funds are still in his account.

Thanks, chaps
