Hi . I submitted an online application for a 90 day non immigrant ( married to a Thai ) visa on the 1st in the Uk . Got an email on the 3rd asking for colour copies of the my Thai marriage certificate and wife’s Thai id . No further communication or update since the 3rd : it has been 8 working days since the 3rd. I assume this is well within the advertised time to consider. When should I start getting worried

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user submitted a 90-day non-immigrant visa application due to marrying a Thai citizen and is awaiting updates after providing requested documents. They inquire about the expected waiting time and when to be concerned. Community responses suggest varying processing times, mentioning factors like country of application, public holidays, and individual embassy workload. They emphasize patience, noting past experiences with similar applications.

Upon receiving your application, it takes within 10 working days to get your visa (the processing begins after we receive your required documents). The processing time can take longer in certain cases.

FYI— Monday, 13 October 2025 was a Public Holiday for the Thai Embassy in London and also in Thailand

I was told minimum of 10 days in London.

There has just been a public holiday so possibly it hasn't been 8 working days for them and public holidays will put them behind.

Took mine about 8 working days and all the documents were correct so maybe just busy 🙏

I’m waiting too after submitting further information

I think if the computer says yes it is now waiting on a manual check and issue

Hopefully they issue yours and mine soon

Good luck

That depends on which country you are applying from as some Embassies have a fast turnaround (e.g. London) while others are very poor (e.g. Paris)

he said he is applying in the UK. Maybe the upload of the colour copy had a larger file size than 3 MB. He should check his spam folder, maybe the London embassy sent an email asking for a renewed upload . . .

I missed that 555. It's unlike London to delay when the correct documents have been provided so it's right to dig around to see if something was missed.
