Do I need to provide payslips for the DTV visa application if I am applying through cooking classes and have passive income?

Hello everyone, I am looking to apply for the DTV visa through taking cooking class route. I am a trader so I do not have any payslip for the past couple years. All my income is passive. I do have the 500K in the bank. Would they still require the me to show the payslips history even tho I go with the taking classes route. I have the options to either apply in Viet Nam or US. What are the chances I will get approved with this route and not being able to show payslips? Thank you all in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the necessity of providing payslips while applying for a DTV visa via cooking classes, given their income is entirely passive and they possess the required 500K THB in the bank. Comments reveal mixed experiences; while some mention that providing payslips may not be crucial, others note that certain embassies have requested proof of income, which could include payslips or tax returns. The discussion highlights the preference for applying from the US over Vietnam due to different requirements observed.

Vietnam embassy has asked for payslips in addition to the 500k. I've had 2 friends who had to submit their tax return as proof of income (they owned a business so no payslips) and the other submitted a letter stating they quit their job to travel.

I would apply in the States as I haven't read them asking for payslips (yet)

Anonymous participant 547 thank you so much for the info. It seems like applying from the US gives more credibility comparing to Southeast Asian countries.

Where did you see payslip in the requirements ?

I actually was looking at the FAQ section of Arun cooking school and also doing some search in the group. Since I’m a crypto investor and trader so I don’t rely on a monthly paycheck to support myself.

Anonieme deelnemer As a crypto gambler and trader you have a challenge how you can support yourself. This might or might not work.

If your a US citizen, I feel best to apply in US

There has been a bit is scrutiny on visas issued in Asian countries

Go the US option.

yes I’m a citizen of both countries so I was just wondering whichever one I would have a higher probability of getting approved. Thanks

If you don't work you can't show payslips so no, but they can ask you to show how you will support yourself
