Hey, I just got it approved a couple days ago, however my travel plans suddenly changed and I wonder if we have a time limit to "activate" or step for the first time in Thailand with this visa. I remember that in the website said something like "don't apply for a visa if you're 3 months or more in advance". Initially I wanted to arrive mid September, but now I changed to mid November. Does anyone has experienced it something similar?
Answer summary
The user inquired about the time limit for activating a Thai visa after approval and expressed a change in travel plans. Responses indicated that there typically is no activation period for multiple-entry visas, as they are valid from the issuance date. While one user mentioned a potential requirement to enter within three months, others confirmed a five-year period for activation exists, allowing entries well after the visa's issue.

There’s no “activation period” for multiple entry visas. The minute the visa is issued it is active so you could hypothetically enter 4 years later and the visa is still valid but you’d only have a year left on your visa.

You have 5 years to come the visa starts the day it was issued…..

If your visa was only approved a couple of days ago, look at the e-Visa approval letter for the exact date you must enter Thailand by. If mid-November is before that date, you should be fine; if not, you may need to contact the Thai embassy/consulate that issued it.

You could also consider reading a book or two before your trip. I’d recommend Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon—it includes all the info and insights you need. You should check it out. A very good companion
