Does anyone have experience of applying for a DTV at the embassy in Lisbon? If not, can I ask for tips on how best to find out the requirements of specific embassies? (I now have the 500,000 baht but am wondering for how long Lisbon will expect to see it sitting in my bank account.)

Also, is it necessary for me to apply in Lisbon because I happen to be here at the moment? Or could one apply anywhere else (other than in Thailand itself)? Part of me would like to get on a plane asap and go out to South East Asia rather than waiting around here.

I’ll likely have to change my retiree visa from retiree to DTV next year because I had to dip into my 800k to take care of an emergent need.

Do I have to go back to the USA to file the DTV e-visa or can I do it closer to Thailand, say in Vietnam?

I have an LLC in the states so I can restart my subcontracting for the DTV. Thoughts?

A lot of people are worried about if you need to apply in your home country if it’s E-Visa. Don’t worry you can apply anywhere. I have been applying for tourist visa to Thailand since 2023 in China. But i am from Africa but i live in China. You just need proof of residency. Your visa doesn’t matter whether it’s long term visa or tourist. Last time i applied for my friend who can to China on tourist visa and he got accepted. His visa was only left with 8 days at that time. Some hotels can actually help you register to the police if you want

60 Day Thai Tourist Visa Question:

We came here with a visa exempt upon arrival + 30 day extension. I hope I’m using the right terminology. 🤞 It’s expiring on June 10th. Previously to that, we had an ED Visa.

Would you please share your experience where to fly near Thailand, with a greater chance obtaining/applying in a Thai Embassy for 60 days Tourist Visa? I’m not sure if this matters at all, but we have US Passports.

Can I apply for Non 0 visa in Krabi, however get the stamp 45 days later in Chiang Mai. Just asking about mix and match locations.

Hi I have a couple of questions about the multi entry tourist visa: edit. I will be applying in Laos at Viantiene

1. It says I need to have 200,000 baht and 6 months of bank statements. I have about £3,000 (112,000 baht) but a regular income. Do I need the lump sum in my account or would the above suffice?

2. If I get 60 days, is that in total? So if I stay in Thailand 20 days then leave for a week then come back I still have 40 days?
