I am on a multiple entry NON O marriage visa, issued in my home country in Europe. Can I renew that, before that 1 year period is over or is that not possible? In my case it would just overlap for max 2 weeks. I meant that I would apply for a new one 2 weeks, before the actual expires. With just around 1month in Europe for my holidays and approval times of ~ 3weeks, I want to be one the safe side.

Thank you

Hi. I have a quick question at the end of this, but thought I'd share a quick message from my trip to Immigration yesterday (Friday) to renew my Non Immigrant O Long Stay visa (retirement visa). I've done this twice before, successfully, but ran into a wall yesterday. Thought I had everything I needed, you know the list. I got the bank letter from Bangkok Bank, Silom, the day before (Thursday) and asked them to update my bank book. That turned out to be the problem. I hadn't updated it since last May, and at the bank they only included transactions from Feb 2021 to now. Seeing the three new pages of updates, I didn't really check the dates. I "assumed" the bank book now had all of them since the last time I did an update. Yes, everything else was in order but because the bank book had "a gap" with no printed transactions from May 1, 2020 to the end of January 2021, I was denied (even though my balance has never fallen below the 800k requirement). I tried downstairs to get a full-year print out but, unlike many other banks who will do this the same day, Bangkok Bank said it would take 3-5 working days. My visa is up on May 4th. May 3 and 4 are bank holidays. Time is not on my side. I screamed on the motorbike back to the Silom branch and basically wouldn't leave until they agreed to try and get me a printout (after many times of "I'm sorry sir, can not").. Anyways, I got the print out at about 5pm. So, remember that, regardless of any other statements, ATM receipts the same day, etc,, it seems we need ALL the transactions of the last year as part of what we submit. Now my question: I will return to Chaeng Watana on Wednesday morning, one day late but the immigration lady said no late fee because of the holiday closure. But now my bank letter will be exactly 7 days old. I've read its good for 3 days, 7 days, 2 days, 4 days. Any idea? And if I need another one, does anyone know if the Bangkok Bank downstairs at Chaeng Watana will issue one? I could go to Silom branch before i go to immigration but it would be cutting it close as I really need to be back to downtown by 2pm.

Whatcha think? And thanks for listening : )

# Hello Todd, Robert Lagas, That time again, and I'm wondering what new changes are in place to re-new (or get a new) Non Immigrant A/O VISA

I'm in Country and will head into the immigration Office Tomorrow.

Do you have a link for the proper form that I can fill out on line?

and is it the TM87 or TM7 That will be required.

Got to renew my Ed visa, can anyone advise how long this takes at immigration in Chiang Mai or any other tips or advice?

Update - We went at 10am got a ticket within 2 minutes, we’re called after waiting for approx 30 mins and were done and finished in an hour. Perhaps all done quickly as all our paperwork was prepared by a well known language school.

What is the validity period of an income affidavit, used for the renewal of a permission to stay based on retirement (at Chaeng Wattana). Is it 1,3 or 6 months?

And does it have to be valid up until the expiration date of your visa or previous extension, or only on the day when you apply for your extension (which can be 30? 45? days before the actual expiration date).

Thanks for your answers!

A no doubt very silly question but I have to ask it. My previous visas have been handled by an agent. Now it's my turn!

My Retirement Visa is up for renewal on February 26th 2019. On November 23rd 2018, I deposited Baht 800K in my Bangkok Bank account. Ergo 3 months ahead of the date of renewal.

What exactly do Immigration want from me to prove that I have had Baht 800K in an account for 3 months prior to renewal? My bank book continuously updated, showing the date that the money went in and it remaining there? A statement / letter from the bank dated on the last day of each month prior to the date of actual application? Or what?

Please advise and many thanks in advance.
