Hi. New to the group.

I have a retirement visa that is due for renewal mid September. I got a new passport and obviously need to transfer my current visa to my new passport. Should I do the transfer now or wait until next month and do everything together. Thanks 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeking advice on transferring their retirement visa to a new passport is advised that many wait until their extension is due (like a 90-day report) to handle the transfer all at once. It's also important to file a new TM30 with the new passport number and update banking information.

I am doubtful you're on any visa 😕 and sounds more likely you're on a yearly extension of stay based on retirement from an immigration office <- Look at the current stamp in your passport.

Many people routinely wait until their next 90 day report OR their next extension comes due before they go to the immigration office to get their extension stamps moved from the old to new passport, so you can wait until you go apply for a new yearly extension and do it then.

Make sure you file a new TM30 with the new passport number as well (and don't forget to update your banking info at your banks)

does the original Non-immigrant OA visa also get transferred or just the extension of stay?

when they transfer stamps to the new passport they transfer the WHOLE history (original entry, any previous extensions, and the current extension you're on)

That's why stamp transfers usually take a couple passport pages

Good point.

I was blocked by the BBL App because I hadn’t updated my passport details with AIS which is inconvenient because they have ended web based banking. You can still use atms but that’s it.
