After my father’s passing, my 56-year-old mother wants to move to Thailand to be closer to me. I’m currently living in Thailand on a DTV visa, but she doesn’t have the 800,000 baht required for the retirement visa. Our French embassy still issues income declarations, but they’re solely based on honor without any verification.

If she comes to Thailand without a visa, can we use the French embassy’s income declaration for her initial O visa application? By the end of the first year, she will have the 12 monthly payments of 65,000 baht required for renewal.

I flew in and received a 60 day visa exempt on UK passport.

I want to extend for another 30 days, making total 90 days.

Can this be done from your first day of arrival onwards or does it have to be towards the end of the 60 day visa exempt to get the full additional 30 days extension?

Also am I best to extend in Patong office or when I go to Koh phangan? Is there one thats quicker and more efficient you would choose?

Does anybody have any information regarding whether you can apply for the DTV visa (soft work: yoga course) and switch to remote working further on down the line & once the course has finished?

I'm about to extend my tourist e-Visa, which was originally 60 days.

Can I ask for another 60 now the tourist exempt visa is 60 days?

I am a 60 year old Aussie arriving mid April, with a 12 month lease, I will be applying for a retirement visa. I have over 800k in a Thai account and 5 months saving a month history of over 65k. What is my best options. I would like to have access to my savings straight away.

Settle my mind please - can the 30 day visa exemption by air entry be used 2 times per calendar year or 2 times within a rolling 12 months period 🤞

So I saw a discussion on another group about cash on hand to be able to enter Thailand. I thought I knew the answer to this but a google search provided many contradicting answers so I ran here to where the facts live 😊

For a visa exemption is it 10000 thb or equivalent?

For a NON-O is it 20000 or equivalent?
