I'm on a Non O visa (Thai spouse). It expires mid January 2025 and I have to leave Thailand early February for about 6 weeks which is during the under consideration period of the visa renewal.

I'm sure I'm not the first in this predicament and a search has indicated that I just take my problem to the immigration dept when I apply for the renewal. Is this correct?

Can I apply early December and bring the whole process forward?

Thanks

We will be doing DTV in Ho Chi Min, Vietnam.

Please share your experiences for following inquiries, Thanks🙏🙏

1. Does the wife have to apply together with the mail applicant to apply for a spouse visa?

Or should she apply after the main applicant visa is approved?

2. So after, the spouse can apply while staying in Vietnam at once without re-entering Thai?

3. What are the required documents for the application of the spouse visa?

4. How many days apart do we need to buy return ticket to complete both applications?

My elderly aunt in the states has been thinking of moving in with us in Thailand, but it is looking like she might just need care back in the states. Does anyone know if my wife going as a temporary care giver is something attainable? I feel like I've heard things suggesting yes and no.

Hi, My husband and I are planning to move to Bangkok next month. I’m Thai anyway and I have some queries. He just received his non-O immigration visa (Thai Wife/Spouse) from the Thai embassy. The visa grants a duration of 1 year instead of 90 days and comes with multiple entries.

Question: Is this considered a marriage visa? Do we still need to convert it to a marriage visa within 90 days when we’re in Thailand? Thank you!

I am currently working full time in Thailand, I have a Thai wife and I have a WP and, a visa obtained through my school. However I'm considering permanently moving to a village up North and teaching online. If I do this what are, my options? I don't have the savings for a retirement visa.

I arrived in BKK end of December on a Non-O eVisa based on visiting Thai spouse and was stamped in until March 29th. I just booked a flight back to the US but it is not until April 24. Is it possible to get a 30 day extension at Changwattana (same extension as you can get when entering on visa exemption)? Or do I need to apply for the 60 day extension based on marriage to a Thai national? Reason I ask, it’s more difficult to arrange for both my wife and I to go together than going myself. Thanks in advance for the info.

Incase anyone is planning to apply for Non-O Thai spouse in HCMC Vietnam, I would like to share my experience that may help others.

'2.5. Applicant’s financial statement of adequate finance is required.' Upon further enquiry via email 'Regarding the financial statement, kindly print out the transactions within the last 6 months from your bank account. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you have as much money as possible for the latest account balance'

There is no seasoning requiremnet for the funds but i assume they want you to have over 400k on your bank statement when applying. I provided 6m statement with over 400k as the final amount and received the visa per usual processing times.
