Hi

I have a 1 year Non-Imm O-A Multiple Entry (retirement visa) valid to March 2023. I have been in Thailand for about 60 days and would now like to leave for 3 weeks and then return.

Do I really need a rentry-permit? (if so what is the point of a multiple entry visa)

Thanks for the advice

Looking ahead to applying for a NON-IMM O-A visa, I note that, regarding financial requirements, the UK embassy now states:

'Financial evidence showing monthly income of not less than 65,000 THB (approx. £1,625) or having the current balance of 800,000 THB (approx. £20,000), e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, for at least 1 month

Copy of evidence stating that applicants have insurance as per stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and health insurance of Thailand which covers COVID-19 related medical expenses, both inpatient and outpatient, no less than 100,000 USD for the whole period of your stay in Thailand.'

Specifically, the insurance requirement now seems to say that a single policy is acceptable provided that it covers the whole of the stay (one year). Does this mean that, for example, the free Emirates all-risk policy, with stated cover for 365 days, would be now be acceptable?

I arrived Thailand 11 January and did my two week quarantine. Got out 26 January. Is my quarantine included in my time before my first 90 report? Or does it 90 days from 26? What date should I report? Any suggestions greatfully received thanks. Non Imm O-A visa.

I have been granted a Non-Imm O-A 12 months visa and will arrive in Thailand over the next few days.

I understand that having arrived, there are additional requirements such as 90 reporting, advising address etc etc....Can anyone from this group advise where I can find a full list of these requirements.

I must also say that comments and experiences posted have been invaluable and a 'must read' for anyone wishing to obtain a visa.

thank you.

Hi, just got back here a month ago with a non imm o-a visa. Apparently I applied for it at the end of October just before the Health insurance requirement went into effect. I’m only hearing about all the recent changes now. So curious to know if there is a list of approved health insurance programs from US that immigration. Link to a list much appreciated. Thanks

Non-Imm O-A Visa: According to the Thai Consulate in NYC website, "Upon arrival, holder of this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for 1 year from the date of first entry." Does anyone know if there's a time limit from the date of their granting the Visa to the date of first entry? For example, if I received an O-A Visa today, when's the latest that I would need to travel to Thailand? 2 weeks? 1 month? 3 months? 6 months?

Howard Waudby asked in another topic:

Tod Daniels can I just ask a quick question please. I am in the UK, just got my 1st Non-Imm O-A Visa last Friday from London Embassy. I’m planning to return to Thailand in about 1 month. I understand there isn’t any official info yet on Health Insurance but if I enter Thailand after 1st July were do I need to show I have medical insurance?

Thank you🙏

I’ve just received my Non-IMM O-A (retirement) VISA from the Los Angeles Thai Consulate and will be entering for the first time next week. I’m staying at a friends condo in Pattaya in the beginning so my address won’t be reported by any landlord or hotel manager. Am I required to go and report my address myself the day after arriving within 24 hours? Or does the address I will have put on my arrival form suffice for that? Just wanna make sure I understand correctly what is expected. Thanks!

I just submitted my application to the Chicago Thai Consulate for my Non-Imm Type OA Visa. For proof of funds, I used a US account as I do not yet have a Thai account. When I renew this Visa (in Bangkok), will I need to have a Thai account with >=800,000 baht, or an I show funds from US accounts? I hear getting money out of Thailand is not easy, and would not like to have to keep a chunk of money sitting there doing nothing.
