Does anyone have recent experience in changing visa stamp to a new passport at Chaengwattana? What queue do we need and do we just need the passports or do we need to copy anything? Also is this a service we can book online? Thanks in advance

Hi. Currently on ED visa until April. Moved to another district so not going to school. Teacher put wrong date on visa termination letter (she put April date),so now cannot get current visa stamp transferred to new passport. My TM30 forms will not tally as I’m living 180 KLM’s away from the school. My question is….can I leave Thailand on a new passport without the current visa stamp. I have my former passport if that will help? My intention was to leave Fhailand and go through the process of applying for a retirement visa, I tick all those boxes. But, now I find myself at my wits end once again trying to navigate the official maze here. Am I the only one who feels utter despair when trying to sort these things out?

RE: Transfer visa stamp to new passport

Not sure whether here is the right place to ask for this. My passport is going to expired in another 8 months time. i am thinking to return to my home country and renew the passport and return to Thailand with the new passport (the old passport have my valid non b and re-entry permit).

When i return to Thailand, do i just tell the officer that i am entering with new passport with the visa stamp in my old passport and later go to Cheang Wattana to complete the visa stamp transfer?

any advise is greatly appreciated.

Hello!

I have to do my 90 days report before the 28/4 and I have to renew my visa (one year, non-O) ending May 9th. However I have a new passport and my visa stamp is still on the old passport (which expires on December 2021).

Is this the right process to do all that :

- Go to Chaengwattana to get the visa stamp transfered from old to new passport (do you know how much it costs?)

- Go to Muang Thong Tani to do the 90 days report

- Go to Chaengwattana to do the visa renewal

If you have any suggestions to make the process easier

I have a U.S. passport. I have run out of pages. i have a non-O Retirement visa and it is extended until March 2020. Please tell me the procedure to get a new passport from the U.S. Embassy or Consulate and what forms fees are needed. Plus, any advice or insight into timelines.

Additionally, once I receive my new passport, how do I get it updated with Thailand Immigration. Again, what forms, fees and procedures are required at Chang Watthana (Bangkok District)?

Thank you!

I'm picking up my new UK passport tomorrow. The current one is full. I'm on a 60 day tourist visa and am going for the 30 day extension on July 8. I've accepted a job in Thailand and will, later in July, applying for a B visa. At what stage will I need to get the visa stamps transferred to the new passport?

Good afternoon, everyone! I seriously need your advice or expertise on particular subject: Visa Stamp Transfer! I’m flying back home this Christmas, and wanted to get a new passport since I’ve got only 2 available pages left in it! Embassy of my country here in Bangkok takes 9-10 months for getting a new passport! Back home is a couple of days! I know, it does sound ridiculous! So I’m going to take my WP and all the documents ( contract with company, etc.,), get a re-entry, since my visa expires in May 2018! Here’s the question: Upon arrival to Bangkok, will i need to show another proof, or funds sufficiency? Will i get any trouble if i show my old passport (with re- entry in it) and a new one? I’ve never faced this sort of issue, and desperately need your advice! Thanks to everyone, in advance!
