I have A DTV Visa. I intend to stay in Thailand approx 123 days.
I have an elderly mother who is 80 years old and relies on me as her carer.
I understand the spouse Visa is for a wife and Children under 20.
1 - Will they make any exception to allow me to sponsor a Elderly dependant parent if paperwork (Medical - birth certificate etc) is provided to show the dependancy.
2 - If this is not possible, and we apply for her own Soft Power DTV Visa, can anyone recommend a Thai cooking class Close to Pattaya who we can book with, Ideally a company that can provide the relevant paperwork for the Visa Application.
Any help would be appreciated, I just want to decide which is the best route to go down.
✨✨ My DTV Soft Power Thai Cooking (Arun Thai Cooking Class) visa has been approved in Laos. Everything went super smoothly, and all the required documents were arranged within just one day.
My DTV visa journey (Thai Embassy in Laos):
Applied online → paid the fee at the Thai Embassy in Laos in Thai baht (cash only) → waited for my interview appointment → had the interview and received the result on the same day.
First of all thank you very much for the administrator of this group and the people’s support to provide the right information- really helpful.
I need your opinion about DTV visa for my daughter, who is 25 years old . She born and brought up in Thailand , now doing her masters in Europe . She wanted to apply DTV visa from India in the Thai cooking class category.
My questions
1: Any problem realed her passport which is issued from Indian embassy Bangkok
2: I am a PR holder , showing my residence details as per the PR for her residence in Thailand
3: In addition to her bank balance , should I show my Thai bank balance and PR as a sponsor
Looking at the DTV and doing a Thai cooking class to qualify (too old and unskilled to be a digital nomad). Is the class a one-off for the 5 year duration, or are they expecting you to do a new class every 180 days?
With the cash requirement, would an Australian Super fund balance that I have total access to be sufficient, or does it have to be in a bank?
