I would like to share my recent experience applying for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV).

I submitted my DTV application through the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra and received approval within 5 days. There was no request for additional documents.

Please Note that it's now recommended by many soft power activity course providers to submit at least 9 months or more of your course with your DTV Visa Application. Reason for that is to avoid getting the SETV single entry tourist visa or METV multiple entry tourist visa issued by the Thai Embassy or Consulate instead of the DTV visa applied for.

Reasoning that with the SETV ( 3 months) or METV (6 months) visa you can complete the course you're applying for vs the DTV visa.

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
