I will re-enter Bangkok airport again the day after tomorrow with DTV visa. I have read some posts that they got denied entry for not having valid ongoing ticket. But my return date is still unknown because my purpose of visit for this time is to meet with my mom and look after her. She will be coming from outside of country and will perform hip replacement surgery in Thailand. Again, I am flying with Thai Airways Business class and I hope I can use the fast track lane. Is there any recent experience in Suvarnabhumi airport who have entered DTV without ongoing ticket and whom have used fast-track lane with business class ticktet.
Answer summary
A user is preparing to re-enter Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport with a DTV visa to assist their mother during surgery. They express concern over potential entry denial due to the lack of a confirmed return ticket. Community feedback suggests that having a return ticket is generally recommended but may not be strictly enforced, especially for DTV visa holders. The conversation also touches on the status of the fast track lane access for business class passengers, with mixed reports about its availability.

I don't understand why everyday there are posts from people worried about not having a return ticket, then why don't they just buy a return ticket? Almost every legacy airline offers fully refundable tickets at a higher price. Plus there are several airline loyalty memberships that allow free cancellations and refunds of points with reward tickets.
Anonymous participant 781 They're not worried, they only want to know if entering with a DTV requires a return/onward ticket dated for within 180 days or not. The answer is no. However, there have been recent verifiable reports of this being requested at Phuket Airport (only). Opinion is that IO was either in error or following instructions from an overzealous supervisor. This appears to have ceased as quickly as it began.
Business/first class is no longer eligible for fast track at BKK inbound since August 2024. I think there is a priority lane in the regular immigration section that you can use.
for business / first flight can enjoy the priority lane. Fast track only for eligible on their list and kinda strict there is no exception even bringing older without visa on the list.
fast track and priority lane are different things. The priority lane is a free fast track for business class. Fast track is the paid version everyone used to have access to, meeting an agent in arrivals to whisk you through. They have stopped that one
Lu Ke You probably used the priority lane, not fast track. Fast track is a separate area as shown in the photo. It's only available for diplomatic passports, elite visa, LTR, APEC, etc. Business/First class was removed from fast track at BKK arrivals hall in 2024 (new version as shown in the photo). It's still available for BKK departures and I think it's still available for arrivals in other airports.
Current Fast Track StatusFree Airline Access: Standard business or first-class airline vouchers no longer guarantee automatic entry at all checkpoints, as airport rules and specific airline agreements have tightened.Authorized Priority: Designated lanes primarily serve diplomats, APEC cardholders, elite visa holders, and passengers requiring physical assistance (elderly, disabled, pregnant).
