What is the process and timeline for applying for a Workcation (DTV) visa in Thailand?

Hi everyone 👋

Just wanted to share my experience of getting a Workcation (DTV)

I’m a UK resident working as a IT consultant, working from home but full time employed.

Applied for the DTV with the London embassy 8pm 4th August with:
Photo
Passport bio page
3 months bank statements merged into one PDF file
Letter from work confirming remote worker status, that I won’t work for Thai clients and that my employment will continue while in Thailand, merged with my employment contract
Copy of my air ticket
Copies of my hotel bookings

4.30pm 5th August the embassy asked for more documents
3 months payslips
p60 tax form from 2025-26
Bank statements for 3 months again this time with INCOME highlighted
A letter from me declaring I won’t work while I’m in Thailand 
A letter from me declaring I won’t leave the UK while my DTV is being dealt with
Submitted 8pm 5th August

5pm 6th August
APPROVED!

Can’t believe how quickly they turned it around, did it all myself without an agent. Can’t wait to go now 🇹🇭
