Aplogies if this is already been discussed, I am just trying to obtain recent information. From my understanding there is currently no limit on land border crossings? I only ask as I will be undergoing medical treatment in malaysia and will need to do roughly 5 visits over a the course of 3 months. I'm currently on visa exempt 60 days

Hi, I wanted to ask if there’s more info on what kind of medical treatment are allowed for the DTV, I see a lot of dentists but what about other medical things like acupuncture in clinic or something related to back problems with appointments paid in advance

I emailed Laos Embassy a week ago but no answer yet

Can a credible source elaborate on soft power activities and how frequently they must be attended?

I've read Muay Thai, Cooking, Medical, Seminars, Arts and Music Festivals. Does one festival ticket count as a qualifying event? Does one doctor or dental appointment count? One seminar?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Again, some more questions about DTV:

1. Which Thai embassy in one of the neighborhood countries of Thailand are using E-Visa online application system ?

2. If you book a doctors appointment or plan a surgery for the DTV,

a) must this be in a Governmental Hospital ?

b) I assume, not every doctors appointment will get approved (i.e. Blood Test, MRI or other any other outbound treatments).

The focus will be more on inpatient treatments (i.e. Hip surgery, Cosmetic surgery).

Am I correct ?

3. If somebody just started (or plans to start soon), to become a freelancer, DN etc. and cannot yet show a portfolio,

a) can this person then NOT apply for DTV ?

b) If that person CAN apply, what alternative documents can this person bring instead ?

Thanks a lot 🙏🏻

Currently in Bangkok, needing medical treatment that may last 6 months. Arrived on 30 day with 30 day extension.

Is there anyway to get to stay longer till my treatment is done now that I’m here already, or would I have to do a visa run after 60 days .. wondering if anyone may have that knowledge

So how many consecutive Border bounces can you do in a row with a tourist visa/visa exempt before you get turned away by immigration? I know it depends on the discretion of the Immigration officer, and that technically we are allowed 6 entries by air or 2 entries by the land border per year. Wondering what others experience has been and how to have the best odds or re-entry.

The reason I ask is because I am here in Thailand for special medical treatment, but I am not able to get a medical visa sponsorship from the clinic where I am receiving treatment. So far I have done one border bounce by air this year, and my next one is coming up in about a month. I would hate to be turned away and sent back to my home country, as this treatment is only available here in Thailand.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
