Anyone seeing a doctor for diabetes using them for the DTV? If so, I’d appreciate a contact, please.
Answer summary
The discussion revolves around whether diabetes can be included in the long-term medical treatment plan for the DTV (Diabetes Treatment Visa) in Thailand. Participants share personal experiences, suggesting that diabetes management does qualify for the DTV if one has a proper treatment plan from a hospital or clinic. There are hospitals, mainly in Bangkok, that provide the necessary documentation for visa purposes. Some express a need for options outside Bangkok. Overall, while there are differing opinions, many agree that regular medical supervision is key for eligibility.

Diabetes is manageable. Only the big hospitals offer this "service" and diabetes would not qualify as you would actually need to spend time in hospital.
Charoen Krung that’s incorrect. I asked the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles. It’s a valid use for the DTV. You can see comments on this page of people using it.
Charoen Krung you dont need to be hospitalized or unable to travel. You just need a longterm treatment plan that will last over a year. People do this with chiropractic services, dental treatments and accupuncture all of the time. You can even qualify with something mild like getting braces, because you will have a year or more of appointments.
