I am experiencing a problem with uploading my passport bio data page to my DTV visa application.
Each time after I have uploaded the image file, the screen shows a warning message as shown below even though my uploaded file gets uploaded (image correctly shows on the screen):
"We are unable to process the image that was provided. Please try again with a higher quality image or enter your travel document’s biographic information manually.”
The photos are as required: definitely less than the 3mb size and correct file type .jpg
I have tried and used different methods in capturing the page such as iOS phone camera, notes app scanning and an actual copier scanning my passport and all show a photo that is visually good. I had also tried dimming the photo brightness in case that was an issue according to past history in this group. But, yet, I am still always getting that warning after I upload the jpg image.
My personal information is all correctly entered already.
I am kind of stuck here because I am worried they might flag this bio data photo while my uploaded passport photo (image of myself not biodata page) passed, then reject or cancel my app.
This has kinda blocked me in finally submitting my application.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or how is everyone capturing their bio data page?
Looking for some help/advice to get over this!Thank you
*Update: I heard from a Muay Thai gym that this has happened before but would definitely like to see or hear from anyone else who has experienced this issue.
*Update 2: Consulate had stated to try again and if issue persisted then to simple proceed - so long as the image is showing with the MRZ - and that I will have to manually fill in my personal information correctly which I did and have been approved!
My bank separated my current and fixed deposit accounts into two accounts, making it appear as though my funds were held in two different banks.
When applying for DTV, I wrote a letter explaining that they were held in the same bank, but the consulate simply ignored it.
They didn't look at the total amount; they needed to be in the same account to meet their requirements. So, I transferred the money from my fixed deposit to my current account, and that was approved.
If you also have two accounts, I recommend combining your funds.
Can you help or advise me on how to get a 90 day visa for Nov. - Feb. Or even a one year visa as l intend on coming back late next year. I'm in Los Angeles California and I'm having no luck with the Thailand Consulate here in L.A.
Picked up our passport and visa at the Thai consulate in Vientiane. No problem as long as you make an appointment when filing the application.
If taking a cab or tuk tuk to the consulate, suggest you make a copy a map to get there to show the driver.
They go in numerical order for accepting applications and for issuing the visas so if you have number 250 in the queue don't go rushing back to pick up your visa at 1:30 in the afternoon.
Hey everybody! I'm seeking some tips & advice. Since September I've stayed in Thailand for 2 months on arrival, then did tourist visa twice (60+30days) in KL. I'd like to do one more visa run before travelling back to Europe. Bali, even Australia came to my mind, but most importantly I'd like to make sure that my destination would be a third time visa applier-friendly one✌️. Thank you in advance for all suggestions:)
